Down for the Count – But Not Out!

While there is always a great deal to see around camp in terms of birds and other wildlife, sometimes keeping both your feet and eyes on the ground can pay big dividends.

Who would have thought that to get off the grid you would – well – have to be off the grid to begin with?

This years construction activities started off with a renaming of both people and places.

As you may recall last years crew – otherwise known as the We Work For Food Construction Company or WWFFCC – who, in polite society go by the names of Lou and Roman or as I am fond of calling them, Rocky and Bullwinkle....

When we first visited our Petersen Lake property, we were quick to decide that together with some general clean up and repairs, a small amount of new construction would be in order.

Perhaps a screened in porch or gazebo? Should we think about replacing the roof?  Did the cabin foundation need reinforcing, and so on.
