I’ll Take the First Leg – No – Make That a Couple of Feet

Mike Brown or "Brownie" as he is often called, together with son Trystan enjoyed a spectacular week at EWL this past June.

While for some, the jury may still be out regarding the overall effectiveness of catch and release programs, in my opinion the jury has completed their deliberations and rendered a verdict - that if properly designed, implemented and administered – they work.

Consider this case in point.

Heading back to the lodge after yet another day of remarkable Pike fishing on the Whitefish River, my fishing partner and I decided this was not the time to turn our backs to the wind, so we spun our seats around so we could watch the splendor of Great Bear Lake unfold in front of us as our boat cut a path across the glass like surface of the water.
